Yorkshire's oldest brewery. Samuel Smith’s ales and stouts are fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’~ fermenting vessels made of solid slabs of slate ~ which give the beers a fuller bodied taste, using the same strain of yeast since the nineteenth century.
