Hennymoor lane stretches over a farm between the Welbeck village and the prehistoric Creswell Crags. On 5th August 1944 a Canadian aircrew of 5 perished when their Wellington bomber plane crashed on the edge of Hennymoor Farm and a memorial now stands at the Crags.
